Clinical Physiologist and gained a PhD in Respiratory Sciences having undertaken a programme of basic science research into the pathogenesis of chronic lung disease at the University of Birmingham.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Hill has worked in the NHS\/Academic Medicine for nearly 30 years and for over 20 years in Respiratory Medicine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the role of CSO, Professor Hill OBE is committed to building the capacity and capability of the Healthcare Science workforce to deliver national priorities for health and to raising the profile of science in health and more widely in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 1st Schools Science Conference comprised the following exciting sessions: Science in Practice &#8211;
