Professor Sue Hill, NHS Chief Scientific Officer
The conference begins with opening remarks from NHS Chief Scientific Officer
Professor Hill OBE trained as a Clinical Physiologist and gained a PhD in Respiratory Sciences having undertaken a programme of basic science research into the pathogenesis of chronic lung disease at the University of Birmingham.
Professor Hill has worked in the NHS/Academic Medicine for nearly 30 years and for over 20 years in Respiratory Medicine.
In the role of CSO, Professor Hill OBE is committed to building the capacity and capability of the Healthcare Science workforce to deliver national priorities for health and to raising the profile of science in health and more widely in society.
